ILLEGAL USE OF FIRE HYDRANTS

Due to recent reports and eyewitness accounts, let it be known that NO ONE, except for the local Fire Departments during an emergency, HAS AUTHORIZATION TO USE ANY OF Clay Roane PSD's Fire hydrants for any reason!  This is not only a SAFETY ISSUE for our customers, potential DAMAGE to our water mains and fixtures, WATER THEFT, and a VIOLATIONS OF BOTH FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS.  

WE DO NOT ALLOW fire hydrant use by any of the following: WV DOH, ANY PAVING COMPANYS, ANY TREE COMPANIES, PRIVATE WATER HAULING COMPANIES, FIRE DEPARTMENTS HAULING WATER FOR ANY OTHER REASON THAN A FIRE.  

If you have seen or suspect unauthorized use of any Fire Hydrant in your area, please report it immediately to our office at 304-548-5209.

ANY COMPANY OR INDIVIDUAL ILLEGALLY USING A FIRE HYDRANT WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW.
