We generally read the water meters between the 18th and the 24th of each month. We used an electronic metering system by touching the top of your meter lid with a reading gun to obtain your reading. We DO NOT have to remove the lid to do this. We only remove the lid if the touch reading pad is not working or to check for water leaks on your side of meter.
Due to our limited staff, during emergencies, we will not be able to read your meter, your reading will be estimated. If your current bill has been estimated, you may contact the office to request we obtain a current reading. You must request this within a few days of receiving your bill. If more than a few days after billing, this new reading could make your current bill even higher.
Per our policy, customers are not authorized to be in the meter pit to obtain their own readings.
